From Maimoona yasmeen’s Recipes
Split Bengal gram (chana dal): 250 grams
Curry leaves: a handful
Onions : 3 diced
Ginger garlic paste: 1 teaspoon
Salt: 1 ½ teaspoon
Red chili powder: 2 teaspoons
Whole green chilies: 2
Chopped coriander: a handful
Oil for frying
1. Soak Split Bengal gram in 700 ml of water for about 4 to 5 hours.
2. After 5 hours, drain the water and add curry leaves.
3. Grind this roughly. To this paste, add diced onions, ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, thinly diced whole green chilies and chopped coriander. Mix well and keep this aside.
4. Add oil for frying and when the oil is hot, mold into round shaped fritters, lower these fritters into the oil and fry on both sides till they turn crispy and brown.
Chane ki dal ke bhajiye or Split Bengal gram fritters are ready.
