Chicken Tomato Curry – Maimoona Yasmeen Recipes – Hyderabadwala

Ingredients: For 4 Servings

 

Chicken with bones(Medium Size Pieces) : ½ Kg

Tomatoes (Medium size) chopped : 6

Curd : 1 ½ Cups

Onions(small) chopped : 2

Ginger Garlic Paste: 1 ½ Tablespoon

Salt : 2 Teaspoons

Red Chilli Powder : 3 Teaspoons

Cooking Oil : for frying onions  and 4 Tablespoons for curry

Turmeric Powder : ½ Teaspoon

Spices(Garam Masala Powder) : 1 Teaspoon

Mint Leaves : ½ Bunch

Chopped Coriander : ½ Bunch

Whole Green Chillies : 3

 

Procedure:

 

  1. In a frying pan, add oil for frying. Fry the onions to crispy and keep it aside.
  2. Take out the excess oil and leave only 4 tablespoons of oil in the pan. Add  ginger garlic paste and stir till it gets brown.
  3. Add chicken pieces and semi fry for 5 minutes.
  4. Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, salt and red chilli powder.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes, keep stirring till it leaves the oil.
  6. Add curd, spices, fried onions, mint leaves, chopped coriander and 3 whole green chillies.
  7. Simmer for 20 minutes.

 

Tomato Gravy Chicken is ready. Serve with chapati or rice.
