Chili Chicken (Dry) – Maimoona Yasmeen Recipes – Hyderabadwala

Ingredients: For 4 to 5 servings
For marination:
Boneless Chicken Pieces (medium size) : 250 grams
Salt: ½ teaspoon
Black pepper powder: ½ teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste: 1 teaspoon
Cornflour: 1 tablespoon
All purpose flour (Maida) : 2 tablespoons
Ajinomoto: 2 pinches
Soya sauce: 1 teaspoon
An egg white
Oil for frying
Procedure:
- To the chicken pieces add salt, black pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, cornflour, all purpose flour or maida, ajinomoto, soya sauce and egg white. Mix well and keep this aside for marination for about 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, add oil for frying and when the oil is hot, lower the marinated chicken pieces into the oil.
- Fry on both sides for approximately 10 to 15 minutes or till they turn brown. Keep them aside.
For final preparation:

Fried Chicken Pieces
Cooking oil: 2 tablespoons
Cubes of two onions
Diced ginger: 1 teaspoon
Diced Garlic: 1 teaspoon
Cubes of one capsicum
Green chili: 1 (diced)
Soya sauce: 1 tablespoon
Red Chili Sauce: 1 tablespoon
Tomato Sauce: 1 tablespoon
Salt: ½ teaspoon
White pepper powder: ½ teaspoon
Cornflour: 1 tablespoon
Chopped coriander and Green spring onions: a handful
Procedure:
- Remove the excess oil from the pan after frying the chicken pieces and leave only 2 tablespoons of oil in the pan.
- Add onion cubes, diced ginger, diced garlic and stir for about 15 seconds.
- Add cubes of capsicum, diced green chili and sauté for 30 seconds .
- Add soya sauce, red chili sauce, tomato sauce, salt and white pepper powder.
- Mix well and add fried chicken pieces.
- Add one tablespoon cornflour mixed in half teacup of water.
- Sauté for about 30 seconds and garnish with handful of chopped coriander and green spring onions.
Chili chicken dry is ready.
