From Maimoona Yasmeen’s Recipes
Cabbage (chopped) : 100 grams or half of a medium sized cabbage
Chickpea flour (Besan): 2 ½ cups or 180 grams
Ginger garlic paste: 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder : ½ teaspoon
Red Chilli powder : 2 teaspoons
Salt : 1 ½ teaspoons
Coriander powder: ½ teaspoon
Coriander (Hara Dhaniya) : ½ bunch
Curry leaves : a handful
Oil for frying
1. In an empty bowl, add chopped cabbage, chickpea flour, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, chopped coriander, curry leaves, coriander powder and 2 cups or 250 ml of water.
2. Mix well and keep this batter aside for 15 minutes.
3. In a frying pan, add oil for frying. When the oil is hot, lower the batter into the pan, using a flat spoon in the form of uneven fritters or bhajiyas. (Make sure that the fritters are thin)
4. Fry on both sides till the fritters turn brown.
Gobhi ki pakodi or Cabbage Fritters are ready.
