Spinach : 60 grams or 2 bunches
Chickpea flour or besan : 2 ½ teacups or 180 grams
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tablespoon
Salt: 1 teaspoon
Red Chilli powder: 2 ½ teaspoon
Turmeric powder: ½ teaspoon
Cumin powder (zeera powder) : 1 teaspoon


1.    In an empty bowl , add thickly chopped spinach, chickpea flour or besan,  ginger garlic paste, salt,  red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin or zeera powder and 1 ½ teacups of water.

2.     Mix well and keep this aside for about 15 minutes.

3.    In a frying pan, add oil for frying and when the oil is hot, drop the batter into the pan, using a flat spoon to form uneven, flat fritters.

4.    Fry on both sides till they turn brown.

Palak Pakodi is ready.
